In this role, you'll work at the intersection of customer analytics, product research, experimentation, and machine learning, helping product and business teams understand what drives customer satisfaction and how product changes impact user behavior.

If you enjoy solving real business problems, working with large datasets, and turning analysis into product decisions, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving customer journeys and operational efficiency.
  • Design metrics that accurately measure product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Build analytical models to support business and product decisions.
  • Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and causal analysis to evaluate hypotheses.
  • Validate solutions using backtesting, modeling, and (where applicable) experimentation.
  • Work with large datasets using SQL and Python.
  • Partner closely with Product, Customer Support, Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to improve data quality and data infrastructure.
  • Create clear dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, probability theory, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Strong Python skills (Pandas and data science ecosystem).
  • Experience with machine learning and mathematical modeling.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Experience working with product or customer analytics is highly valued.
  • A/B testing or experimentation experience is a plus, but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Spark.
  • Experience with Metabase or Grafana.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.

You'll be successful if you are

  • Curious and research-driven.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
  • A structured and analytical problem solver.
  • Detail-oriented with strong business acumen.
  • Able to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll get

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Relocation support to Kuala Lumpur (if it's needed)
  • Comprehensive medical insurance for you and your family.
  • Annual leave and paid sick leave.
  • Learning budget, certifications, English courses, and professional development.
  • Sports allowance.
  • Education support for children.
  • Meal and transportation allowance.
  • Annual travel benefits.
  • International team with strong engineering and data culture.
