This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Automation Engineer V based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automation engineer to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale AI-powered workflows in a fully remote environment. In this highly visible individual contributor role, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering to build intelligent automation solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and business performance. Working across multiple teams, you will architect secure integrations, develop AI-enabled workflows, and establish engineering standards that drive long-term operational excellence. Accountabilities

As an AI Automation Engineer V, you will lead the development and optimization of enterprise automation platforms while driving the adoption of AI-powered business processes across the organization.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of enterprise workflow orchestration strategies using platforms such as n8n.
  • Develop intelligent workflows, AI agents, and decision-making frameworks that enhance business operations.
  • Architect API-first and event-driven integrations connecting enterprise systems, cloud services, and AI platforms.
  • Establish engineering standards for automation development, deployment, monitoring, governance, and platform reliability.
  • Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and environment strategies for automation initiatives.
  • Create reusable frameworks, workflow templates, prompt libraries, and automation accelerators to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance measurement for automation and AI-driven workflows.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, workflow assessments, and post-incident analyses to continuously improve platform performance.
  • Mentor engineers and implementation partners while promoting best practices in AI automation, workflow engineering, and responsible AI adoption.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a senior automation engineer with deep expertise in AI-driven workflow orchestration, enterprise integrations, and cloud-native architecture.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise automation, workflow engineering, integration engineering, or platform architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with n8n, Boomi, or similar enterprise automation platforms.
  • Expertise in API-first and event-driven architectures, including REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JWT, and secure integration practices.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation governance, observability, and platform reliability at enterprise scale.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience integrating AI and machine learning services, including large language models, into enterprise workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify high-value automation opportunities, deliver AI-enabled solutions, and measure business impact.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
  • Passion for continuous learning and adopting emerging AI technologies and engineering best practices.
