Job Description

At Lace Lithography, we’re scaling up our team and looking for a passionate and sharp talent to join us.

In our company we build chip lithography technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.

About the Role

We're looking for a People Operations Partner who loves creating exceptional employee experiences and owning scalable people systems. As we expand across 5 international locations, you will be the backbone of our People team - taking full ownership of the systems, payroll, compliance, and operational processes that keep Lace Lithography running smoothly.

You'll work across the entire employee lifecycle, helping us build the infrastructure, processes, and programs that support a high-performing and engaged team. While this role has a strong operational foundation, it offers significant scope to contribute to employee experience, performance, manager development, and strategic people initiatives as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do

Global People Operations

  • Manage and improve core people processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Own the end-to-end payroll administration and benefits management across all locations, partnering with local vendors and EORs (Employers of Record) where necessary
  • Own HR systems and data quality (incl. owning HRIS and payroll data)
  • Support compensation, benefits, and policy administration.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee relocations, visa sponsorships, and immigration processes.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation standards are maintained.
  • Drive process automation and operational efficiency.

Employee Experience & People Programs

  • Improve onboarding and off-boarding experiences.
  • Partner with talent acquisition to streamline offer generation, background checks, and pre-boarding logistics.
  • Support performance and feedback processes.
  • Partner with managers on people-related initiatives.
  • Help deliver engagement, culture, and learning programs.
  • Serve as the go-to person for team questions regarding pay, benefits, leave, and internal tools.

Building for Scale

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve people processes.
  • Develop metrics and reporting that support decision-making.
  • Participate in future workforce planning and organizational projects.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of dedicated experience in People Operations or HR Administration, ideally within a fast-growing tech startup.
  • Experience with HRIS and people systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a great attention to detail. You don't let things fall through the cracks.
  • Ability to build processes in fast-changing environments. A self-starter attitude; you don't just spot a broken process, you fix it.
  • Interest in growing toward People Partner, Employee Experience, or leadership responsibilities.
