We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is a remote, full-time position based within the continental United States, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of enterprise-grade applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, secure, and high-performance Python systems that operate reliably within distributed and mission-critical environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and operations engineers to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated applications, ensuring operational stability, and continuously improving system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with at least five years of hands-on Python development experience in enterprise environments. Strong experience in building and maintaining large-scale production applications with high availability and reliability is essential. Proficiency with relational database systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query optimization and schema design, is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and computational efficiency is necessary to make informed design decisions. Experience debugging and maintaining complex enterprise applications in production environments is also critical. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, application resilience patterns, and secure coding practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Python Developer, your responsibilities will include providing end-to-end design, development, and advanced troubleshooting for complex enterprise applications. You will develop secure, high-quality Python code and implement algorithms that perform reliably within distributed systems, considering concurrency, fault-tolerance, and observability. Producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications will be part of your role, ensuring adherence to performance standards and enterprise guidelines. You will optimize data processing logic for large datasets, supporting both batch and near-real-time workloads, and analyze diverse datasets to identify insights that improve product performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Developing reporting dashboards and data visualizations to support operational insights will also be required. You will proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, architectural weaknesses, and coding issues, contributing to engineering best practices through peer reviews and architectural discussions. Participating fully in Agile development cycles and CI/CD processes, you will ensure stable and frequent deployments, incorporating testing, rollback strategies, and monitoring. Collaborating with stakeholders across product management, data science, and operations teams, you will help clarify requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Additionally, you will support operational stability through incident response, debugging, log analysis, and post-incident reviews, implementing preventative measures to enhance system resilience.
