Lead Payroll Operations for a High-Profile Organization


We're seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for approximately 500 employees in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a payroll leader who thrives on accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll laws and regulations
  • Oversee payroll tax reporting, filings, and payroll system administration
  • Review garnishments, wage deductions, and other payroll transactions
  • Support audits and maintain strong internal controls
  • Analyze and improve payroll processes and procedures
  • Mentor payroll team members and support departmental goals (2 direct reports)
  • Handle highly confidential payroll and employee information


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll management experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance, and tax regulations
  • Experience leading payroll operations in a complex environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
