Mid-Senior WordPress Developer

We are seeking a Mid-Senior WordPress Developer for a 12-week remote contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building, customizing, and optimizing WordPress websites with a focus on performance, usability, scalability, and clean code.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, custom themes, and plugins
• Convert Figma/Adobe XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect websites
• Optimize sites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and performance
• Troubleshoot front-end and back-end issues
• Integrate third-party APIs and marketing platforms
• Collaborate with designers, QA, and project teams to deliver high-quality web experiences

• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL skills
• Experience with custom WordPress themes/plugins, Gutenberg, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Strong understanding of responsive design, Git workflows, performance optimization, and website security

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WooCommerce, React, REST APIs, and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, Core Web Vitals, and hosting platforms such as WP Engine, Pantheon, or Kinsta
• Experience in agency, consulting, or enterprise WordPress environments
