About Trubot
Trubot Inc. develops intelligent robotic systems for autonomous inspection and physical automation in modern data centers.
Our robots operate in complex real-world environments and require reliable autonomy, navigation, perception, and system integration.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer specializing in Mobile Robotics to join our robotics software team.
This role focuses on developing autonomous mobile robot software using ROS2, including navigation, localization, perception, motion planning, and system integration.
This is not a robotic manipulation or machine learning research position.
We are looking for an engineer who has built and deployed autonomous mobile robot systems in real-world environments.
This role requires a systems-oriented robotics engineer who can understand, integrate, and troubleshoot interactions across multiple robot subsystems rather than focusing on a single software component.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ROS2-based software for autonomous mobile robots
- Develop navigation, localization, motion planning, and robot control modules
- Integrate LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, wheel encoders, and other onboard sensors
- Develop and optimize perception and sensor fusion pipelines
- Debug and optimize robot behavior in dynamic real-world environments
- Perform robot system integration, testing, calibration, and field deployment
- Collaborate closely with hardware, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams
- Build reusable software modules and internal development tools

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer who understands the mobile robotics software stack as a complete system—not just an individual software component.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across:
- ROS2 architecture
- Navigation
- Localization
- Motion Planning
- Perception
- Sensor Integration
- Robot Control
- System Integration
- Real-world deployment and debugging
Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on robotic manipulation, computer vision research, simulation-only development, or machine learning without substantial mobile robotics software development may not be the best fit for this role.
