Role Description This remote, entry-level Graduate Developer role at Agora Digital SN is a part-time position focused on learning and contributing to software development projects under the guidance of senior team members. On a day-to-day basis, the Graduate Developer will assist in writing clean, maintainable code, fixing bugs, and implementing small features in existing applications. The role includes participating in code reviews, documenting technical solutions, and collaborating with designers, product managers, and other developers to understand requirements. The Graduate Developer will also be expected to learn and apply best practices in version control, testing, and agile workflows while communicating progress and challenges clearly in a distributed team environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#) and understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledge of web or software development concepts, such as APIs, databases, and front-end or back-end frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Ability to read and write clear technical documentation and follow coding standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback.
- Comfort working remotely, managing time independently, and communicating clearly in written and spoken English.
- Relevant academic background or training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent self-taught experience.
- Interest in digital products and continuous learning; prior internship, personal projects, or contributions to open-source are a plus.
