Trainee Project Supervisor/Project Supervisor (Grade 2.1 – 2.2)
Lincoln and Preston
£30,237.65 – £36,179.43 Per Annum Dependent On Experience
With a strong pipeline of current and upcoming projects, we’re looking to welcome a Project Supervisor or Trainee Project Supervisor to our team on a permanent basis. This role is available for immediate start, subject to a three-month probation period (with a structured training plan provided for trainee applicants).
In this role, you’ll lead and support teams of experienced archaeologists and trainees across a diverse range of projects. You’ll be primarily based from our offices in Lincoln or Preston, with opportunities to work across a variety of sites.

Trainee Project Supervisor Grade 2.1: £30,237.65
We are open to receiving applications from those who are ready and have enough experience in the field to make the move into a more senior role, as Trainee Supervisors Grade 2.1. Our Award-winning Training Plan lasts for a minimum of 3 months and once completed, you will move up to Grade 2.2. You should be enthusiastic and willing to learn, confident and professional when speaking to contractors, clients and colleagues alike, comfortable with giving instructions and constructive feedback to other team members and have the ability to manage your time and meet deadlines.
Project Supervisor Grade 2.2: £32,746.55 pa
You will have at least 6 months experience of supervising commercial fieldwork projects such as watching briefs and small evaluations in the UK, working on your own and/or leading small teams, and preparing the subsequent grey literature reports.
Trainee Project Officer/Project Officer 3.1 – 3.2: £34,299.98 to £36,179.43

- Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology of all periods
- Experience of post-excavation analysis and reporting (desirable for Trainees)
