Associate (Data Protection)

Overview: SBI Foundation is the CSR arm of State Bank of India which was launched in 2015 to carry out its CSR activities as well as those of its subsidiaries. The Associate (data protection) will work for the closure of observations and implementation of IT/organisational policies and procedures for Data Protection, and Cyber Security and evolving IT.

Position: Associate (Data Protection)

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. [Candidates should be open to future relocation/change in office location within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).]

Employment Type: 3year contractual role and may be renewed for a period of every Two years basis performance and Management’s discretion.

Deadline for Applications: 10.07.2026

Salary: The fixed CTC for this role will be up to 5LPA, plus up to a 20% variable component linked to annual performance. The final CTC offered will depend on interview performance, relevant experience, and skill set.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation in any discipline.
• Relevant certifications in System Administration, Networking, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management, Data Protection.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Protection, Cyber Security, IT Support & Service Delivery

• Must be willing to address the issues which is expected from Desktop Support Engineer, for all hardware, software and multi-applications environment.
• Ensure quick resolution of hardware/software/networking issues and provide IT support
• Develop and run the scripts/programs
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers of IT services and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Governance Support

• Assist in implementing and monitoring IT policies, procedures, and controls under the guidance of the DPO.
• Coordinate with internal departments to collect, verify, and maintain compliance-related information and records.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining necessary documentation and evidence.

Asset & Document Management

• Physical verification of inventory and lifecycle records of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, peripherals and software licenses, IT processes, assets and support activities. Support document management activities, including record maintenance and version control.

Administrative & Coordination Support

• Perform administrative and coordination tasks assigned by the DPO and Systems team.
• Follow up with stakeholders on pending actions and compliance requirements. Prepare reports, trackers, and status updates related to IT operations and compliance activities.

Risk & Operational Support

• Daily assessment and mitigation of risks.
• Daily perform operational tasks and process adherence.
• Daily report submission, Daily checklist and effective action item follow-up/Data /PC Audits.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Good understanding of Baseline controls, Operating systems, Office 365, networking security, wi-fi systems and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT asset management and documentation practices.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALITIES & KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Exposure to information security, compliance, or Data Protection practices.
• Experience working under a DPO will be an advantage.

Additional Tasks

Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Head or SBI Foundation Management.

Although the individual will work in a small team, it is essential that the chosen candidate can work in an independent manner to complete the given tasks in a time-bound manner.
