About the position

As a Senior Frontend Developer at Sitly, you'll work on our frontend systems, building scalable features and improving the user experience for both parents and sitters. We're specifically looking for someone with strong Angular experience.

You'll join our small, experienced stream aligned team, where every developer plays a key role. You'll write high-quality code, contribute to technical decisions, and bring your own perspective to improve how we work. Your input will help shape how we build our product.


What your responsibilities would be

  • Build and improve features on our Angular frontend
  • Write E2E tests for new features
  • Spot bugs and suggest improvements proactively
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate closely with product, quality, and other teams
  • Document processes and features as you learn and build
  • Share ideas and propose technical improvements to our frontend


Our Stack

  • Angular SPA web-app: Our main project for authenticated members
  • NodeJS + Express in TypeScript: Our API serving multiple frontends
  • PWA embedded Android app: Our web-app which is loaded under an Android wrapper
  • MariaDB: Housing our user and translation data
  • CloudFlare: Our layer for DNS management, Workers, CDN, and more
  • ElasticSearch + Kibana: Powers our search, logs, and real-time monitoring
  • iOS swift app: Our native iOS app


A typical day at Sitly

It's Thursday, one of the two days you work from the office. You arrive at our office at the Rokin just across the metro station in the centre of Amsterdam. You grab a coffee before the team stand-up begins. Some of your teammates join remotely, while others are there in person. You share what you've been working on and sync on priorities for the week. You're currently building a new frontend feature to improve sitter-parent communication, and you plan to pair up later with your onboarding buddy for feedback on your implementation.

After the stand-up, you catch up with the product owner and team lead, who also work from the office for the same couple of days a week. Together, you review an upcoming feature and share your ideas on how to prioritise a few technical improvements. You bring your own perspective on how to enhance the platform. Your suggestions are well received and included in the implementation.

Around noon you enjoy lunch (based on your dietary preferences) together with the team. You all take your time to connect, if the weather allows heading up to the rooftop terrace for a coffee and some fresh air.

In the afternoon, you continue working on your feature, write tests, and pick up a code review request from a teammate.

  • Expert in Angular
  • Proactive: you take initiative, suggest improvements, prioritise, and take ownership
  • Strong grasp of clean code, best practices, and scalable systems
  • Fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiar with CSS preprocessors
  • Solid experience with Git workflows
  • Experience with API development
  • Bonus: experience with Cloudflare or ELK stack
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
