Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and support a team of up to 14 Production Operatives within a newly established production team
Act as a hands-on leader, working alongside the team while providing day-to-day direction, guidance and support
Carry out assembly and manufacturing duties alongside the production team, following work instructions, specifications and established procedures
Promote a positive team culture through open communication, collaboration and recognition
Support the team in meeting daily production schedules, quality standards and operational targets
Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment
Drive team performance through effective communication and engagement, ensuring each team member understands their role and contribution
Monitor team performance and facilitate regular one-to-one meetings, coaching and performance reviews
Monitor and manage team time and attendance
Implement company change initiatives effectively and support team members throughout periods of change
Ensure team compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards
Prepare production metrics, status updates and reports, escalating issues and risks to the FSP Director as appropriate
Comply with and ensure adherence to all health and safety requirements, safe systems of work and PPE requirements

Requirements

  • Previous team lead/ supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or similar work is desired but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established processes consistently.
  • Willingness to learn new skills across a range of production tasks.
  • Strong attention to safety and quality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to doing work to a high standard.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
  • Forklift or machinery experience is an advantage but not required.
