What You'll Be Building
As the technical leader for the Cards platform, you'll own the architecture behind one of the bank's most business-critical systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Architect and scale high-performance backend systems for modern payment and card platforms.
- Build AI-powered automation to streamline fraud, chargebacks, and operational workflows.
- Design real-time, event-driven systems using Kafka for payments, analytics, and fraud detection.
- Lead integrations with major payment networks and critical financial services.
- Drive engineering excellence through scalable architecture, reliability, automation, and technical leadership.

What We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced backend engineer who thrives in highly distributed, high-availability environments where reliability and performance are critical.
You'll ideally bring:
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience in payments, card issuing, or financial infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, and scalable backend services.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLMs, including LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Experience with Visa, Mastercard, card platforms, or payment processors, with a passion for building intelligent automation at scale.
