Job Description

About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team of professionals who step in when enterprise performance management and reporting systems fail to deliver. Many companies invest millions in complex planning tools only to find that the implementation was rushed, leaving finance teams with data that does not match and reports that require hours of manual adjustment. We fix these systems. Our consultants bring real world experience from decades of working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks. We focus on transparency, fixed price quotes, and documentation that actually helps the client remain independent after we leave.
Currently, we are representing a logistics company that needs to overhaul its financial reporting interface. This client is dealing with fragmented data across multiple regions, and they need a clean, reliable way to view their performance metrics every morning. We are looking for an Associate Frontend Engineer to join this project and help us build a single source of truth for their management team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive as part of a distributed team.

The role
As an Associate Frontend Engineer, you will support our senior technical consultants in building and refining the user interfaces for our reporting solutions. This is an entry level role designed for someone who is comfortable with the fundamentals of web development and wants to learn how enterprise systems are structured. You will not be expected to architect an entire system on your own, but you will be responsible for building individual components, ensuring they are responsive, and making sure the data displays correctly across different browsers.
In this role, you will work closely with backend consultants to ensure that the frontend interface reflects the underlying data accurately. Since we prioritize predictability and clarity, much of your work will involve following specific configuration guides and creating clear documentation so that the client team understands how to maintain the interface in the future.

What you will do
  • Develop and maintain web based interfaces using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants to translate financial reporting requirements into functional dashboard components.
  • Ensure the interface is consistent with the client requirements for their logistics tracking and financial oversight.
  • Write clean, readable code and maintain detailed documentation for every component you build.
  • Participate in internal testing to ensure that data visualizations are accurate and load efficiently.
  • Assist in the handover process by creating configuration guides for the client IT department.
  • Update existing frontend code to fix bugs or improve the user experience based on direct client feedback.
  • Learn the basics of enterprise performance management tools to better understand how the frontend interacts with financial data.

What we are looking for
  • A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience from a coding bootcamp or self directed study.
  • Foundational knowledge of JavaScript, including basic experience with frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with an understanding of how to build layouts that work on different screen sizes.
  • A logical approach to problem solving and a high level of attention to detail when it comes to visual accuracy.
  • The ability to write clear, plain English documentation for technical and non technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • A willingness to learn about financial systems and the specific needs of the logistics sector.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment which requires proactive communication and self management.

What we offer
Working at Alpine Business Consulting means learning from senior professionals who have seen every implementation mistake in the book. We do not believe in using client projects as a training ground for junior staff without proper support, so you will have direct access to experienced mentors who can help you grow your technical skills. This is a full time, permanent position. The role is paid, and the compensation is attractive and competitive for the current market and entry level seniority. Because we are a fully remote company, you will have flexibility in your work environment and the opportunity to focus on delivering high quality work without the distractions of a traditional office.

How we work
We pride ourselves on being direct and honest with our clients. We do not use filler words or corporate jargon to hide a lack of progress. If a system is broken, we say so, and then we provide a clear plan to fix it. We value engineers who take the same approach to their code. We prefer simple, reliable solutions over complex ones that are difficult to maintain. Every project we take on, including our current work for the logistics client, is built on the foundation of clean data and transparent configuration. We want to leave every client in a better position than we found them, with a system they truly own and understand.
