Summary

We're working with one of London's fastest-growing AI startups, fresh from Series A funding and growing at exceptional pace. Following 10x growth over the past year, they're looking to hire a Senior Platform Engineer to help build and scale the infrastructure underpinning their AI platform.

This is a hands-on platform engineering role where you'll own the systems that power a highly available, secure, enterprise-grade platform. From Kubernetes and multi-cloud infrastructure through to observability, security and developer tooling, you'll play a key role in shaping the technical foundations that support the company's next stage of growth.

They're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, takes ownership, and thrives in fast-moving product environments.

About the Role

You'll join the Platform & Security team with end-to-end ownership of the platform. That includes Kubernetes, Terraform-managed infrastructure, Azure, AWS and GCP environments, Istio service mesh, observability, security, and the developer experience that enables engineers to ship quickly and safely.

Working alongside an experienced team of startup operators and engineers, you'll help define the architecture that will support the business through its next phase of growth. Recent projects include scaling Kubernetes for AI workloads, self-hosted model serving, GitOps deployments with ArgoCD and Helm, multi-cloud infrastructure as code, enterprise observability, and security systems designed to meet the highest customer standards.

This role offers significant autonomy, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to influence both platform strategy and engineering culture from an early stage.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional platform, infrastructure or DevOps engineering experience
• Strong commercial experience operating Kubernetes in production environments

• Experience with Terraform, GitOps, ArgoCD and Helm
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure
• Security-first mindset with experience designing infrastructure around IAM, secrets management and network security
• Experience building scalable, reliable infrastructure in high-growth environments
• Familiarity with observability tooling such as Grafana, Loki, Tempo or Mimir is beneficial
• Experience supporting AI infrastructure, GPU workloads or Kubernetes-based model serving is a strong advantage
