Job Description
My client is a tier 1 HFT firm which design, develop, and deploy technologies that change the world, fund start-ups across industries, and partner with leading research organizations and universities to solve complex problems. Their global security team is made up of technologists who build and contribute across the full security stack. As you grow in the role, you’ll deepen your expertise in one or more security domains while expanding your breadth across others. The ideal candidate is passionate about security operations and security automation, with experience across at least one or more of, network security, cloud security, or application security. You should be comfortable automating using a programming language such as Python or Go and understand security from a risk-based perspective. Key Responsibilities
- Automate processes and procedures to help build a highly resilient security infrastructure
- Implement and recommend improvements based on threat assessments across network, server, and endpoint environments
- Support threat/vulnerability management activities and attack surface reduction efforts
- Assist in investigations of anomalous activity and produce actionable reports for senior management
- Analyze security-relevant datasets and create reporting using tools such as SQL, Python, and Pandas
- Work highly independently with multiple stakeholders beyond your immediate management structure
- Perform other duties as needed to support the security function

Requirements
- Comfortable using a programming language for automation tasks (Python, Go, etc.)
- Comfortable using the Linux shell to understand and troubleshoot systems
- Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues across the infrastructure stack
- Understanding of DNS and SSL/TLS, including how end-to-end security and trust are established over IP networks
- Understanding of principles around secure identity management and authentication.
- Commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement
- Ability to deliver reliable, predictable security operations coverage
