This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AWS Developer based in United States.
This fully remote AWS Developer role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions supporting critical federal programs. You will design and deploy cloud-native applications using modern AWS services while ensuring reliability, compliance, and cost optimization. The role involves developing robust data pipelines, automation workflows, and infrastructure as code to support enterprise-scale systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and enhance system interoperability. Working within an Agile environment, you will contribute to continuous delivery and improvement practices. The position offers exposure to complex, mission-driven systems in a highly regulated environment. You will also stay current with emerging cloud technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Accountabilities
- Design, build, and deploy scalable cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure repeatable and reliable deployments.
- Build ETL pipelines and data integration workflows using AWS Glue and related data processing tools.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Ensure cloud environments follow security best practices including IAM policies, encryption standards, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workloads using CloudWatch and logging tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate external APIs and support ongoing system enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as an AWS Developer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in AWS architecture, cloud services, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building ETL/data processing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, and SaaS integrations.
- Strong understanding of security, networking, SQL/databases, and Agile development practices.
- AWS certification (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect) is highly preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, federal environments, or large-scale regulated systems is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
