Job Description

Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research teams to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security professionals to bring real-world expertise to frontier AI development.

Your hands-on knowledge of how enterprise security actually works — the incidents, the misconfigurations, the control failures — is exactly what's needed to make AI security systems smarter and more accurate. This is a rare opportunity to influence how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity at scale.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios drawn from modern enterprise environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to identify what went wrong and why
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data
  • Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
  • Clearly articulate root causes, threat context, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
  • Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and common enterprise tooling
  • Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls in production
  • Able to communicate security issues clearly — not just spot them, but explain them
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in an async environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or security operations
  • Background in writing technical documentation, runbooks, or security assessments
  • Familiarity with AI or data labeling workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI and security systems with top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that makes AI more accurate and security-aware
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
