About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our remote team. This mid-level position is ideal for professionals with 3-5+ years of experience who possess a strong blend of technical expertise and a keen eye for design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, highly functional, and optimized for performance and security. You will work closely with our design and project management teams to translate static designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web pages, and implement new features that enhance user engagement and overall site usability.

This role involves working on various client projects, which may include building custom themes and plugins, integrating dynamic content, and managing site infrastructure across different hosting environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing aesthetic considerations with technical requirements to deliver exceptional web experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development, demonstrating a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies. Essential skills include proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with experience in developing custom themes and plugins. Familiarity with WordPress architecture, hooks, actions, and filters is required, as well as hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types.

Experience converting designs from Figma or Adobe XD into fully responsive websites is crucial, as is familiarity with popular page builders such as Elementor. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of hosting environments, including working with SSH, staging environments, backups, and site deployment processes. A keen eye for design details and a commitment to best practices in SEO, performance optimization, and security are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring they meet client specifications and quality standards. Develop custom themes and plugins as needed, working confidently within existing codebases and builder-based environments. Utilize WordPress hooks, actions, and filters effectively to implement custom functionality.

Translate static design files from Figma or Adobe XD into pixel-perfect, responsive web pages that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Apply strong design judgment to enhance usability and visual appeal, ensuring interactions, hover states, and UI behaviors follow best UX practices.

Use modern WordPress tools such as Elementor and other page builders to create dynamic, reusable components and manage content efficiently. Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types to develop flexible, scalable websites.

Manage site infrastructure across various hosting platforms such as WP Engine, cPanel, and others. Perform routine site management tasks including backups, restores, updates, and security checks, ensuring the website’s stability and safety.

Implement technical SEO recommendations to improve site visibility and performance. Maintain website health through regular optimization, monitoring, and adherence to internal SOPs for updates and security protocols.

Contribute to WooCommerce projects by implementing layout or functionality updates on e-commerce stores, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for users.
