About The Role
GovCIO is seeking a skilled User Experience (UX) Analyst to join our dynamic team supporting VA digital health products, with a primary focus on telehealth solutions including video visits and related functionalities. This role involves executing user-centered design and validation activities to enhance usability, workflow efficiency, and user adoption for Veterans and clinical personnel. The UX Analyst will work closely with Product Managers, UI Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and the UX Lead to ensure that digital health tools meet user needs and operational requirements. This position is hands-on and execution-focused, responsible for conducting usability sessions, facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT), and driving iterative design improvements based on user feedback and operational insights. The role offers the flexibility of being fully remote within the United States, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful healthcare solutions for Veterans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in UX, usability, product design, or a related discipline
- 3–6 years of relevant experience supporting usability evaluations, task-based testing, or user-centered product validation
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with product managers, designers, and developers
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and workflow-based design thinking
- Excellent written, analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
- Experience supporting healthcare, telehealth, or government digital products (preferred)
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare operational processes (preferred)
- Experience with wireframes, prototypes, or interaction design artifacts (preferred)
- Familiarity with accessibility principles and inclusive design (preferred)
- Experience working within Agile teams (preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

- Support UX execution for assigned digital health product portfolios by partnering with product managers, UI designers, SMEs, and stakeholders
- Develop task-based UAT scenarios and success criteria aligned with user workflows and release goals
- Support and facilitate UAT sessions, including preparation, observation, synthesis of findings, and providing actionable recommendations
- Conduct or assist with lightweight user touchpoints such as usability sessions, feedback reviews, and validation activities
- Translate user insights and UX guidance into product-specific flows, interactions, and design recommendations
- Collaborate with UI Designers to ensure design solutions align with user needs, operational workflows, and usability best practices
- Support iterative improvements based on user feedback, UAT findings, human-centered design input, and stakeholder insights
- Contribute to enhancements in telehealth and virtual care workflows, informed by operational context and end-user feedback
- Identify usability risks, insights, and opportunities, and communicate these effectively to product teams and UX leadership
- Participate in accessibility and usability forums to support continuous product improvement initiatives
- Assist in developing product recommendations aimed at improving user adoption, workflow efficiency, and overall experience quality
