About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our remote team and play a vital role in shaping the future of digital travel solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing modern, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces for our innovative e-commerce platform focused on sustainable tourism. Your work will range from creating small features to leading complex projects, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and adherence to high-quality standards. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of professional experience in frontend web development, demonstrating a strong command of modern technologies and frameworks. You should have extensive experience working with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a keen eye for design and user experience. Familiarity with tools such as Git for version control is essential. Bonus points for experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and GraphQL, as well as knowledge of end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright and developing accessible web applications. You should have a quick learning ability, a solution-oriented mindset, and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team. Fluency in German, both written and spoken, is required to facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include developing and maintaining high-quality frontend solutions for our e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and accessibility. You will translate complex design ideas into elegant interfaces, collaborating with UI/UX designers and backend developers to create cohesive user experiences. Your tasks will also involve implementing new features, optimizing existing functionalities, and participating in code reviews to uphold coding standards. You will work within an agile Scrum framework, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
