Role Description The Creative Director at GymTonic is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the visual and creative direction of the brand across digital platforms and marketing initiatives. This role oversees concept development for campaigns, product launches, and community engagement programs, ensuring alignment with GymTonic’s mission to personalize fitness and foster local connections. Day-to-day tasks include guiding creative strategy, managing design projects from briefing through delivery, and collaborating with marketing, product, and coaching teams to create cohesive, impactful user experiences. The Creative Director provides art direction and feedback to designers and external partners, maintains brand consistency, and continually experiments with new formats and storytelling approaches to enhance user engagement. This role also monitors performance of creative assets and uses data and user insights to refine and optimize future work.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Creative Direction and Creative Strategy, with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering integrated campaigns.
- Strong skills in Branding and brand identity development, including defining visual systems and tone of voice for digital-first products.
- Hands-on experience in Art Direction, including guiding photography, video, and design to produce cohesive and compelling content.
- Proficiency in Graphic Design and common design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent), with a portfolio showcasing digital and social assets.
- Experience working with consumer or lifestyle brands; fitness, wellness, or tech platform experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to translate business goals and user insights into clear creative concepts and briefs, and to present ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
