About The Role

The SEO Web Developer at SEO Kings plays a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing website functionalities to improve search engine rankings and user experience. This position involves working across various website platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, and custom-coded sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing website updates, technical SEO fixes, Core Web Vitals improvements, and frontend/backend modifications.

This role requires a hands-on developer who is proficient in coding and understands how development changes influence SEO, crawlability, indexing, website speed, and conversions. The developer will collaborate closely with SEO, content, design, and analytics teams to ensure seamless execution of technical tasks and website enhancements. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, remote environment, supporting a global client base with diverse technical needs.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in web development, particularly within SEO-focused environments. Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including working with themes, plugins, child themes, custom fields, and page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, or WPBakery is essential. Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with a solid understanding of PHP for backend modifications, is required.

Familiarity with other CMS platforms such as Shopify (Liquid), Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, HubSpot CMS, or Magento is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to make code-level SEO and website fixes, troubleshoot JavaScript and CSS issues, and optimize website performance. Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and technical SEO best practices is critical. Experience with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Chrome DevTools, Screaming Frog, and schema markup validation is also necessary.

• Implement and manage frontend and backend updates across multiple client websites, ensuring technical accuracy and SEO compliance.
• Build new pages from scratch within CMS platforms using existing templates, custom layouts, and page builders, adhering to SEO best practices.
• Perform code-level updates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Liquid, and CMS-specific templates to enhance website functionality and performance.
• Execute technical SEO fixes including redirects, canonical tags, schema markup, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, hreflang tags, internal linking, and indexation corrections.
• Enhance Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile performance, and overall website user experience through performance optimization techniques.
• Address JavaScript rendering issues, lazy loading, unused CSS/JS, image optimization, layout shifts, and third-party script management.
• Support Shopify theme edits, product page updates, structured data implementation, and speed improvements.
• Develop and test schema markups such as FAQ, LocalBusiness, Product, Article, Breadcrumb, and Organization schemas.
• Set up and troubleshoot tracking tools including GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion pixels; verify website tracking and analytics.
