Job Description

Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need practitioners who truly understand how cloud environments fail in the real world.

As a Cloud Security Analyst, you'll analyze real-world cloud security scenarios, identify failure patterns, and help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on cloud infrastructure security. Your hands-on expertise will directly shape how the next generation of AI reasons about cloud risk.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns
  • Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in realistic contexts
  • Classify security gaps and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact and blast radius
  • Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that helps frontier AI models think like a seasoned cloud security practitioner

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
  • Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
  • Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, incident patterns, and their downstream consequences
  • Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender)
  • Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or cloud incident response
  • Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or the Cloud Security Alliance guidelines
  • Prior experience contributing to AI training or evaluation projects

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Make a meaningful impact on how AI understands and reasons about real-world cloud security
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
