About the Company



A well-established Houston medical device developer is hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineer to build the software behind connected, life-changing medical devices — start to finish.



About the Role



You'll join a lean, multidisciplinary team where engineering, testing, regulatory, and manufacturing sit under one roof — so you ship faster and own your work through the full product lifecycle, not just a sliver of it.



Responsibilities



  • Designing, developing, and unit-testing embedded firmware (C/C++) in an agile environment
  • Building secure wireless comms — BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE-M
  • Taking firmware from concept through verification, validation, and manufacturing release
  • Working within an ISO 13485 quality system on real, regulated products


Qualifications



  • A degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or EE


Required Skills



  • Strong embedded C/C++ (assembly a plus)
  • Hands-on embedded systems development
  • Wireless connectivity experience (BLE / Wi-Fi / cellular) — a big plus
  • Medical device or other regulated-industry background welcome
