Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 + Competitive Equity

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience building data-intensive systems and hands-on experience deploying AI agents into production environments. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced startup environments, works well with minimal specifications, and has a proven track record of building automation that replaces manual workflows.

Preferred candidates will have experience at vertical AI companies and exposure to geospatial data, renewable energy, or infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents that automate power development workflows, including siting, interconnection, and permitting.

• Own end-to-end feature development and collaborate closely with industry experts.

• Design and scale automation systems that unlock new modeling capabilities.

• Develop backend services, ETL pipelines, databases, and infrastructure supporting a rapidly growing platform.

• Partner with product and engineering teams on roadmap planning and prioritization.

• Develop deep expertise in energy infrastructure and apply that knowledge to production-grade AI systems.

Required Qualifications

• 3–8 years of software engineering experience.

• Recent experience deploying AI agents into production.

• Experience working at high-growth technology startups.

• Experience building AI-powered SaaS products or agentic systems.

• Strong experience with Python and SQL.

• Experience with LangGraph, Agent SDKs, or similar frameworks.

• Full-stack experience across backend systems, ETL pipelines, databases, and infrastructure.

• Experience with geospatial data or energy grid modeling is a plus.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

Preferred Background

• Experience at a Vertical AI startup.

• Experience in climate tech, renewable energy, infrastructure, or geospatial software.

• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments.

• Strong builder mindset with a bias toward execution.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $150,000 - $220,000
