Citrix Administrator - Enterprise Virtual Apps & Desktops Support

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Windows infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and profile management solutions.

This role involves maintaining virtual desktop and application environments, troubleshooting performance issues, implementing updates, and ensuring a seamless end-user experience across the Citrix platform.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions using Machine Creation Services (MCS) and other provisioning methods.

• Monitor system performance and user experience using tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix DaaS, Splunk, UberAgent, and other monitoring platforms.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and updates to Citrix components and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot user profile issues using Citrix Profile Management, FSLogix, and related technologies.
• Configure, publish, and manage applications using Citrix App Layering.
• Support and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell-based automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and virtualization teams to ensure optimal platform performance and availability.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues related to Citrix services, desktops, and applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Participate in system optimization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
• Experience deploying and managing VDI environments using MCS and other provisioning technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix Director and Citrix DaaS.
• Experience with profile management solutions, including Citrix Profile Management and FSLogix.
• Knowledge of Citrix App Layering and application publishing methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
