Job Description

  • In-person: Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
  • $200,000/year, paid weekly | Health, dental, and vision coverage from day one

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to refuse calling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they can reach it, and lowering standards is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels too strict, this position will be a poor fit.

Alpha students don't attend traditional lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while developing practical life skills simultaneously. Your role ensures three core commitments are met for every student in your cohort: they develop a love for school, they accelerate learning by 2x, and they acquire capabilities no textbook can provide. You'll also mentor the Guides who fulfill these same commitments throughout your campus.

Data informs every choice, and every workday involves direct interaction. You'll divide your time between your own student cohort and the Guides under your leadership — and the expectation remains consistent for both: trackable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't file documentation; you observe, discuss, and resolve it within hours.

You'll witness reserved children presenting with confidence to adults. You'll observe a student who previously "despised school" requesting to remain after hours. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because upholding expectations is how you demonstrate belief in someone's potential.

You may be initiating a completely new campus from the ground up and setting the cultural foundation that will shape the school. As the campus develops, your priorities transition from operational startup work to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach across your area.

If this opportunity appeals to you, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering subjects like public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established playbook
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions that ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app targets through age-appropriate incentives such as school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via observation, focused feedback, and direct training so they execute workshops with the same enthusiasm and accuracy you demonstrate
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student profiles to pinpoint who requires intervention, then providing personal support
  • Directly mentoring your own student cohort, exemplifying the coaching and motivational techniques you require from every Guide

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students advance via adaptive apps; your responsibility is making the people supporting them exceptional.
  • Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You're 80% performer, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this isn't the right role.
  • Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administrators. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll have organizational support to maintain that standard.
  • Working from an office reviewing documents. The majority of your time is spent directly with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance evaluations. Data is accessible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
