The Role
- Build, operate, and evolve operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services.
- Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).
- Collaborate with global AWS teams and influence the evolution of AWS services and technology.
- Enhance day-to-day operations and ensure continuous improvements in availability, reliability, and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents.
- Deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers.

- Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting or strong networking administration skills.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
- Must be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU.
- Ability to execute standard operating procedures and follow operational best practices.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or building and operating systems at scale.
- Knowledge of operating 24x7 high-availability, distributed software applications.
