Role Description The Chief Revenue Operations Officer is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for aligning and optimizing all revenue-generating functions across marketing, sales, and customer success. This role oversees revenue operations strategy, including forecasting, pipeline management, pricing, and performance measurement to drive sustainable growth. The Chief Revenue Operations Officer will lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, improve data quality, and ensure effective use of CRM and related tools. On a day-to-day basis, this person will analyze revenue trends, identify opportunities for efficiency and expansion, and provide clear reporting and insights to executive leadership. The role also includes building and coaching a high-performing revenue operations team, collaborating with product and finance teams on go-to-market plans, and ensuring a seamless learner journey from acquisition through retention.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust, foster collaboration, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data, develop forecasts, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven experience in operations management, particularly in revenue operations, sales operations, or business operations within a digital or SaaS environment.
- Solid understanding of finance principles, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, unit economics, and performance metrics.
- Experience managing and optimizing CRM and revenue tech stack tools to support end-to-end revenue processes.
- Demonstrated ability to design and improve processes, establish KPIs, and drive accountability for results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Background in online education, e-learning, or subscription-based businesses is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
