Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SDET with strong expertise in Java and backend automation testing to drive quality engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining automation frameworks, validating APIs and microservices, ensuring backend data integrity, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. The role requires close collaboration with development, product, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.
- Create and execute automated test cases for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of backend applications.
- Validate backend business logic and data integrity through API and database testing while identifying and troubleshooting defects.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous testing practices.
- Drive quality engineering best practices by reviewing requirements, improving test coverage, mentoring team members, and contributing to automation strategy.

- Strong programming experience in Core Java (Java 8+) and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with REST API automation using Rest Assured.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services, HTTP protocols, JSON/XML, and API authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit and automation framework development.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in backend database validation.
- Experience testing Microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Maven/Gradle and Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and log analysis.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using Jira.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
