Report to GM Operations & Design of 50-person startup

What We're Looking For
Education and Experience:
- Experience working for high-performing remote team a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and others.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and best practices.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Proficiency in English: Clear and understandable spoken and written communication.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to handle client concerns on the spot and address design-related issues effectively.
- Independence: High level of independence and a self-starting attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Project Management: Experience with project management artifacts and tools such as GitHub and ClickUp, demonstrating the ability to manage design projects from conception to completion effectively.
- Data-Driven: Experience in making data-driven decisions to optimize design and user experience.
- Reliable high speed internet connection (at least 50MBps)
- PC or laptop computer with at least a 10th gen core i3 processor or equivalent with at least 8GB of RAM (10th gen i5 processor or equivalent with 16GB RAM recommended)
- Build New Designs: Create engaging user interfaces and develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
- Maintain Design Libraries: Manage and update design systems to ensure consistency, document design patterns, and uphold design standards.
- Research Design Improvements: Conduct user research, analyze feedback and trends, and stay updated with design best practices.
- Partner with Engineers: Collaborate on design implementation, provide clear specifications, and address design issues during development.
- Product Management: Work with product managers to align design with project goals, contribute to the product roadmap, and participate in planning meetings.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- User Journey Mapping: Create maps and personas to identify user needs.
- A/B Testing: Implement and analyze tests to optimize design.
- Accessibility: Ensure designs are inclusive and meet accessibility standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrate user feedback and tackle design challenges with marketing, sales, and support teams.
