About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in React and/or Vue.js to join a dynamic healthcare and lifestyle technology company. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote work or a location-based position in Southampton. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining customer-facing features that enhance user engagement and improve health outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, operational staff, and clinical stakeholders to deliver innovative digital solutions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in frontend development with proven experience in React and/or Vue.js. Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript is essential, along with a solid understanding of building and maintaining production-grade web applications. Experience working with REST APIs and integrating third-party services is required. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, with a focus on quality and performance. Excellent communication skills are vital, particularly the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. Bonus points are given for experience with PHP/Laravel, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GCP, Terraform, and AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include designing, building, and deploying new customer-facing features that align with the company's strategic goals. You will take ownership of features throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept and design to production deployment and ongoing maintenance. Improving the frontend architecture and user experience will be a continuous focus, ensuring the platform remains scalable and user-friendly. You will develop maintainable, scalable, and thoroughly tested software, adhering to best engineering practices. Collaboration will be key, working closely with product teams, operational staff, and clinical stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet user needs. Additionally, you will support production systems, participate in code reviews, and help elevate engineering standards across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
