Junior Frontend Developer

We are hiring a Junior Frontend Developer to build internal tools that support our work for a major UK infrastructure group as it expands its reach. This role focuses on turning complex financial datasets into clear, interactive interfaces that our principals and clients use to evaluate high stakes capital decisions.

The Role
As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will work within a small, remote team to develop functional web applications that visualize complex financial models. This is not a role for standard marketing sites. You will be building tools that help our consultants and clients find flaws in growth plans and test the durability of pricing strategies. You will spend your time translating analytical requirements into clean code, ensuring that data is presented accurately and intuitively. Since we work in a fully remote environment, you will have a high degree of autonomy but will collaborate closely with our principals to ensure the software remains grounded in financial reality.

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining web based dashboards for visualizing infrastructure project economics and capital allocation models.
• Working with senior consultants to understand user requirements and translating these needs into functional UI components.
• Writing clean, documented JavaScript and CSS to ensure our internal tools remain fast and reliable.
• Testing application interfaces to ensure data integrity is maintained across different scenarios and user inputs.
• Refining existing tools to handle larger datasets as our engagement with the UK infrastructure group expands.
• Collaborating through video calls and digital documentation to keep development cycles moving in a remote setting.
• Troubleshooting frontend issues and improving the overall stability of our software tools.
• Ensuring that all visual elements are consistent with our brand focus on clarity and precision.

What You Bring

• A basic understanding of modern frontend technologies like React, Vue, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS, with an eye for clear and simple layouts rather than flashy design.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git for managing code updates.
• A curious mindset and the desire to understand the logic behind the financial data you are visualizing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to colleagues who focus on finance.

• Completion of a technical degree, bootcamp, or equivalent projects in web development that demonstrate your skills.
