Job Description
About Qolytics
Qolytics is developing technology focused on human movement, physiological sensing, and real-time embedded systems. We are building an integrated platform that combines wearable sensors, embedded firmware, communication systems, and data infrastructure into a production-oriented solution.
We are looking for a Junior Embedded Firmware Engineer who wants to grow alongside the product and the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, solving practical engineering problems, working closely with hardware, and developing real-world embedded systems.
You will work directly with our Embedded Systems Engineer on firmware development, sensor integration, hardware bring-up, communication systems, debugging, and system validation activities.
This is not a maintenance role. You will have the opportunity to contribute to real products, learn from experienced engineers, and gradually take ownership of increasingly complex technical responsibilities.
- Support firmware development for STM32-based embedded systems using C/C++.
- Assist with sensor integration, communication interfaces, and hardware bring-up activities.
- Help develop and validate communication systems using interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and related embedded protocols.
- Participate in debugging hardware and firmware interactions.
- Assist with system validation, testing, logging, diagnostics, and evidence collection.
- Support development of embedded tools, utilities, and validation infrastructure.
- Review datasheets and help integrate new peripherals and sensors.
- Work closely with firmware, hardware, validation, and software team members.
- Contribute to prototype development and product maturation activities.
- 1–3 years of embedded systems, firmware, robotics, mechatronics, biomedical engineering, or related experience.
- Strong fundamentals in C programming.
- Experience with STM32, ESP32, AVR, Arduino, or similar embedded platforms.
- Experience working with communication interfaces such as SPI, UART, or I2C.
- Basic understanding of interrupts, timers, embedded peripherals, and debugging concepts.
- Ability to learn new hardware and technologies independently.
- Comfortable reading datasheets and technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when uncertain.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities may evolve.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who enjoys learning, takes ownership, communicates honestly, and is excited to help build real products.
We value engineers who:
- Build working solutions.
- Debug problems methodically.
- Communicate clearly and honestly.
- Stay curious and keep learning.
- Take ownership of their work.
- Follow through on commitments.
- Ask good questions.
- Support their teammates.
We care more about demonstrated engineering ability, problem-solving, and learning mindset than formal credentials. If you have projects, GitHub repositories, technical write-ups, prototypes, or examples of systems you have built, we would love to review them. We prefer that you submit your resume and portfolios (if any) directly to info@qolytics.com only.
- Fully remote and flexible.
- Direct impact on a growing product.
- Opportunity to work across hardware and firmware boundaries.
- Learn from real product development activities.
