About the job: Technical Recruiter

San Francisco, CA | On-site


Several of our clients are actively seeking their first in-house technical recruiter to own the hiring function from the ground up. These are early-stage, venture-backed AI and deep tech startups based in San Francisco.


You'll work directly with founders, build the recruiting infrastructure from scratch, and hire primarily for engineering and technical roles. No inherited process, team, or playbook. Full ownership and autonomy from day one.


What You'll Do

*Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering, AI/ML, and select G&A roles

*Build sourcing pipelines, interview frameworks, scorecards, and ATS workflows

*Partner directly with founders and executives on hiring strategy and talent bar

*Source and close passive technical candidates in competitive markets

*Contribute to employer brand at companies early enough for it to matter

*Evaluate tech stack to help build more functional processes


What You Need

*3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting at venture-backed startups

*Experience as a founding or early in-house recruiter who built the function from scratch

*Proven track record closing technical and non-technical talent without relying on inbound *Comfortable with Ashby, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, or equivalent tools

*Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area


Compensation

Base Salary: $145,000 - $220,000

Performance-based bonus

Meaningful equity at an early stage

Visa sponsorship available for select roles


Location

Must currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Roles require 4-5 days on-site per week.

Relocation candidates will not be considered.
