About the Role

We're hiring Senior Software Engineers for one of Europe's fastest-growing Series B AI startups, building what they describe as the AI operating system for the enterprise. They've raised $60M to date from top-tier venture capital and are already deployed at some of the most respected technology companies in the world. This is a high-bar engineering environment where you'll partner directly with the founders and senior engineers to frame and build core product features and infrastructure from the ground up.

What You'll Do

You'll be deep in the code, opinionated about agent design, and comfortable owning entire surfaces of the product end-to-end. You'll work directly with founders, engineers, and product to:

• Design and ship production AI agents and the infrastructure that powers them, including tool calling, memory, guardrails, and escalation logic
• Build agent workflows that connect deeply into enterprise context (data sources, integrations, internal systems) so agents actually understand how customers work

• Integrate the best models across OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral and open-source, with the architecture to swap and evaluate as the frontier moves
• Build and optimise RAG pipelines, retrieval infrastructure, evaluation harnesses, and agent observability
• Frame product features from a blank page, not just implement a spec

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering, with meaningful production AI/ML or agent system experience
• Strong full-stack fundamentals with deep backend depth (TypeScript, Node, Python, Postgres or similar)
• Production experience building real AI products that customers use daily, not RAG demos or API wrappers
• Background shipping inside high-velocity startup or product company environments
• Comfortable framing problems from first principles, owning ambiguous scope, and shipping fast
• Strong communicator who can hold the room with engineers, founders, and enterprise customers

• Up to €130k base salary

Location

This role is Paris-based with four days per week in the office and one day flexible. Relocation support is included for the right candidate, including help with logistics and settling in. Please only apply if you are comfortable with the onsite commitment. This is a product-first, in-person engineering culture and remote arrangements are not on offer for this position.
