About the role

An exciting leadership opportunity awaits at Peak Gold Mines.


Leading a close-knit and highly skilled mobile maintenance team, you'll have the opportunity to influence culture, develop people and drive the performance of a critical function within our underground operation.


With responsibility spread across 2 workshops, 1 surface based and 1 underground, you'll provide leadership across a diverse crew comprising of Leading Hands, Underground Heavy Vehicle Fitters, Drill Fitters, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, Apprentices and contractors, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient maintenance practices and process are followed across both workshops to support the underground fleet.


  • Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)
  • Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW


Travel options

  • Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance
  • DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
  • FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne



Qualifications and experience

  • Trade qualification Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience leading mobile maintenance teams in a supervisory role within an underground mining environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a positive team culture, hold people accountable and lead with respect
  • Strong commitment to safety and behaviours aligned with Aurelia Metals Values
  • Experience using CMMS systems, preferably Pronto
  • Sound computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
