The physical economy runs on thousands of disconnected systems across manufacturing, warehousing, trucking, logistics, and supply chain operations. Today, connecting these systems requires armies of consultants and custom integration projects that are rebuilt from scratch every time.

What you will do

• Design and build specialized AI agents that automate complex technical workflows
• Develop the core infrastructure that powers deployment, execution, monitoring, and reliability
• Own critical platform components from design through production
• Build developer-facing systems and internal platforms that enable rapid scaling
• Establish engineering best practices and technical standards
• Work directly with customers and founders to understand problems and shape product direction
• Make high-leverage architectural decisions across infrastructure, AI systems, and platform engineering

The ideal candidate

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a software engineer at a VC-backed startup between Seed and Series B
• Strong experience shipping products end-to-end with meaningful ownership
• Proficient in TypeScript and comfortable working across the stack
• Experience building infrastructure, developer platforms, runtimes, backend systems, or internal tooling
• Experience building with or working alongside AI agents, LLM applications, or agentic workflows
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Strong bias toward action and ability to operate independently
• Excited by ambiguity, ownership, and building from scratch

Bonus points

• Experience at a developer infrastructure company such as Vercel or similar platform-focused organizations
• Built personal projects, open-source tools, startups, or side projects demonstrating technical curiosity and initiative
• Experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure

This role is NOT for you if

• You prefer clearly defined requirements and structured task execution
• You require extensive direction to be productive
• Most of your career has been spent at large non-tech enterprises or consulting organizations without significant product ownership
• You primarily identify as a people manager rather than a hands-on builder
• You are looking for a management-oriented position
