Job Description

JurneeGo Careers: Product DesignerRole

Product Designer โ€” Brand Owner, End-to-End UX, Visual Quality, Design QA

Product Designer | Careers | JurneeGo

Location

Fully remote

Seniority

Open. We hire on demonstrated taste, judgment, and ability, not years of experience.

Reports to

Founder. Collaborates closely with engineering and QA.

Primary tools

Figma as the primary design system and product design tool.

AI design and content tools are expected as part of the daily workflow, including tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Sora, Runway, Galileo, Magic Patterns, V0, and similar tools.

About JurneeGo

JurneeGo is a family-integrated AI learning system for children.

It is not a generic chatbot. It is not an answer engine.

JurneeGo helps children explore questions safely, while parents and teachers participate as visible co-curators of the childโ€™s learning journey. Every interaction should help move the child from curiosity, to thinking, to reflection, to growth.

We are building around several core principles:

Children should be able to explore safely.

Parents should have visibility without taking over.

Teachers should be able to guide learning without turning curiosity into passive instruction.

AI should support deeper thinking, not replace it.

The product should feel trusted by parents, usable by teachers, and alive for children.

This makes design central to the company. The interface is not decoration. It is how trust, safety, curiosity, and learning structure become visible.

The Role

We are looking for a Product Designer who can own the entire design surface of JurneeGo.

That includes:

Brand identity

Product UX

Visual language

Marketing site

In-product experience

Parent, child, and teacher interfaces

Design system

Microcopy

Design QA

AI-generated creative workflows

This is not an executor role. You will not be waiting for a design committee or an agency to tell you what the product should feel like.

You are the person shaping how JurneeGo looks, feels, moves, and communicates.

You will work directly with engineering and QA. Design that does not ship at the right quality bar is not finished design.

What Ownership Means Here

You own the visual and experiential standard.

If the brand feels generic, you help fix it.

If a screen feels off, you help fix it.

If the spacing breaks in implementation, you help catch it.

If the child experience feels too adult, too childish, too cluttered, or too passive, you help reshape it.

If parents cannot immediately trust the product, you help identify why.

If teachers cannot understand the workflow, you help simplify it.

You are not just producing Figma frames. You are protecting the product experience.

Areas of OwnershipBrand Identity

You will help define and maintain the JurneeGo brand across product and marketing surfaces.

This includes:

Logo usage

Typography

Color system

Illustration style

Motion language

Iconography

Voice and tone

Brand guidelines

The brand must feel trustworthy to parents, friendly to children, credible to schools, and serious enough for a child-safety AI product.

The wrong version of JurneeGo looks like a toy chatbot.

The right version feels like a safe learning companion with family and teacher presence built in.

Product UX

You will design end-to-end product flows across child, parent, and teacher experiences.

This includes:

Onboarding

Login and consent flows

Child inquiry interface

Parent dashboard

Teacher view

Shared session experience

Curator annotation flows

Bookmarks and saved questions

Guided session flows

Empty states

Error states

Edge cases

Settings

Notifications

JurneeGo is a multi-role product. A child, parent, and teacher may all be looking at different projections of the same learning activity. Your UX work needs to make that understandable without overwhelming the user.

Visual Quality

You will own the quality bar across web, mobile, and future surfaces.

This means:

Clean hierarchy

Consistent spacing

Strong component discipline

Readable layouts

Accessible interactions

Careful visual rhythm

Clear handoff to engineering

Design QA before release

You should be the person who notices when something looks almost right but not quite right.

Marketing and External Surfaces

You will design the surfaces candidates, parents, schools, and partners see before they use the product.

This may include:

Marketing pages

Landing pages

Social assets

Recruiting pages

Investor visuals

Parent emails

App store assets

Product walkthroughs

Feature explainers

Every external surface either builds trust or weakens it.

Embedded Design QA

You will join the QA loop with a designerโ€™s eye.

This means reviewing builds during development, not only after engineering says it is done.

You will file design QA issues for:

Visual regressions

Broken spacing

Off-brand copy

Interaction bugs

Inconsistent components

Accessibility issues

Unclear flows

Mobile responsiveness problems

We treat design quality as part of release quality.

AI-Native Design Workflow

JurneeGo is an AI-native company. We expect design to move faster because of AI, not become less thoughtful.

You should be able to use AI tools for:

Concept exploration

Moodboards

Illustration directions

Copy variations

UX alternatives

Asset production

Rapid prototyping

Presentation visuals

But taste still matters. AI output is not the final answer. You need to know what to accept, what to reject, and what to refine.

What You Will Do Day to Day

Drive new features from product problem to high-fidelity design.

Maintain and evolve the Figma design system.

Work with engineers during implementation.

Review builds before release.

Use AI tools to explore visual and UX directions quickly.

Talk to users when useful, including parents, teachers, and children.

Watch how children actually use what you designed.

Push back when a product or engineering decision weakens the experience.

Protect the JurneeGo design standard as the company grows.

Must-Haves

A portfolio showing real ownership of brand, product, or both.

Strong visual taste.

End-to-end UX ability.

Figma fluency.

Comfort designing real product flows, not only static screens.

Ability to think through edge cases, empty states, microcopy, and interaction details.

Fluency with AI design or content tools.

Comfort working closely with engineering and QA.

Strong written communication.

Self-direction in a fully remote environment.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience designing for children, families, education, or high-trust consumer products.

Motion or prototyping experience with tools such as Rive, Lottie, After Effects, or advanced Figma prototyping.

Light front-end fluency, such as HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or the ability to understand how designs become real UI.

Illustration or visual art background.

Experience building and maintaining a real design system.

Experience with AI product design.

What We Are Not Screening For

A specific number of years of experience.

FAANG background.

Agency pedigree.

A giant case-study deck.

A perfect CV.

We would rather see three strong projects in depth than fifteen polished thumbnails with no ownership.

Why This Role Is Worth Your TimeFull brand ownership

Real product impact

This is a product for children, parents, and teachers. Design choices affect trust, safety, learning, and engagement.

You will use modern AI design and content tools as part of the core workflow.
