About The Role
As a Defect Manager at ARX Robotics, you are central to our mission. In this role, you are the crucial link connecting our Verification & Validation (V&V) team with the wider ARX engineering organization. You will take full ownership of our defect management lifecycle, ensuring every issue—from discovery to resolution—is handled with precision and speed.
Embedded within the V&V team, you'll collaborate closely with our software, hardware, systems, and program management experts to maintain the quality and reliability of our autonomous ground systems. Your work is essential to strengthening the backbone of our development process and ensuring our robotic platforms perform flawlessly.
What You’ll Build
- A robust and efficient defect management process, guiding issues from initial discovery to final resolution.
- An optimized Jira tracking system with clear workflows, insightful dashboards, and automated reporting.
- Collaborative bridges between our V&V, software, hardware, and systems engineering teams through effective communication.
- Clarity and precision by ensuring every defect is accurately documented, reproduced, and prioritized.
- Actionable insights for leadership by monitoring defect trends and producing clear status reports.
- A culture of continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and refining our resolution processes.
- The framework for root cause analysis on critical issues, ensuring we learn from every challenge.
- Confidence in our product releases by providing key defect metrics and closure summaries to the V&V team.

- Proven experience in defect management, quality assurance, or test coordination within a modern technology environment.
- Deep expertise with issue tracking tools like Jira, including configuring workflows and creating insightful dashboards.
- A highly organized approach, with a talent for managing a high volume of issues across multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and translate technical details for any audience.
