Job Description

Fully Remote | Outside IR35 | Immediate Start

I am working with an award winning UK business operating at a significant scale with a large turnover, stable leadership and exciting project pipeline. They pride themselves on being honest, hard working and have high standards. This company really value fast paced people who quite simply - get things done.

They are looking for a genuinely strong Data Engineer to come in and finish a Microsoft Fabric implementation properly. Not manage it. Not sit in meetings all day. Not produce PowerPoints. We need someone who can roll their sleeves up and do the work.

This role has immediate visibility with senior leadership and, for the right person, could start tomorrow.

They have a platform built that has ingested their ERP data source and in reality it is 90% there. The product is functional but they want it take to the next level. They want an experienced engineer who can come in, assess the product quickly, fix it and move it forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

Immediate Priorities

  • Complete and stabilise the ERP data ingestion
  • Fix and tidy the Fabric architecture
  • Ensure proper Gold-layer data quality and modelling
  • Improve reliability/performance of existing pipelines
  • Work alongside our Senior Data Analyst and internal development team

Following That

Integrate two additional data sources. Both are achievable integrations and their internal dev team can support where needed.

You must be hands-on and technically strong.

Essential Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Data Engineering background
  • SQL expertise
  • API ingestion/integration experience
  • PySpark / Python
  • Data modelling
  • Experience working with ERP style datasets
  • Ability to work independently and move quickly

This is an opportunity for the right engineer to come in, make a visible impact quickly, and own the delivery properly.

If you are someone who enjoys fixing real-world engineering problems instead of sitting in governance meetings all day, we want to speak to you.
