Job Description


We are looking for Head of Engineering (with the background as the Engineering Manager, Team Lead) probably in Fintech industry


Prefer people from CIS/ Europe/ UK/ expats in Vietnam


Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow engineering teams of 10–50+ engineers across multiple squads or product areas
  • Own the full engineering delivery cycle — planning, execution, quality, and release
  • Build and maintain engineering culture: hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and business stakeholders to align technical roadmap with company goals
  • Drive cross-team technical decisions while keeping the focus on people, not just architecture
  • -Define and improve engineering processes: agile practices, code review culture, incident management
  • Report to C-level / founders and contribute to company-wide strategy


Requirements

  • Currently an Engineering Manager or Team Lead with direct people management experience
  • Strong developer background (Frontend, Backend, or Full-Stack) as you have written the code
  • 1–3 years in a people leadership role
  • Full-stack understanding: comfortable discussing frontend, backend, infra, and product trade-offs
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and retain engineers
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a remote or distributed environment
  • Proficient in English
