We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Limassol, Cyprus. We also offer a relocation package for candidates who would love to join our team and make the move a little easier! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our databases, including MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, ensuring they remain secure, high-performing, and highly available.

The successful candidate will monitor database performance, implement backup and recovery solutions, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with Development and DevOps teams to support system improvements and growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize production and development databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and others).
• Monitor system performance, query efficiency, and storage utilization.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high‑availability strategies.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to support schema design and query optimization.
• Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Troubleshoot database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Continuously explore and learn new database technologies (e.g., Redis, Druid, Cloud-native DBs).

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience as a DBA or similar role (Mid–Senior level).
• Strong proficiency with MongoDB (replica sets, sharding, performance tuning).
• Solid experience with MySQL (indexing, query optimization, backups, replication).
• Good understanding of Linux operating environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Percona Toolkit).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
