Job Title: Principal Hardware Design Engineer – Systems Engineering
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $220,000 – $300,000 + Bonus
Relocation: Available (Nationwide)

Overview
We are looking for a Principal Hardware Design Engineer to join a high-impact systems engineering team. This role focuses on designing high-speed PCB systems and reference boards for next-generation semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-speed PCB boards for chip validation
- Work on PCIe Gen4/Gen5 (or higher) systems and signal integrity
- Define SI specifications and design guidelines
- Perform simulations and ensure design quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RTL, SI, package, layout)
- Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation
- Work with vendors and customers on design implementation
Required Skills
- Strong experience in high-speed PCB and differential pair design
- Hands-on with PCIe (Gen4/Gen5 or higher)
- Signal Integrity and Power Integrity knowledge
- Experience with SI/PI tools (Sigrity, HFSS, or similar)
- Schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence preferred)
- Understanding of SERDES, clocking, and power design
- Experience with board validation and debugging

- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5–10 years of experience
