OVERVIEW

At Orion, we are seeking a Systems Engineer with physical security systems experience in hospital environment. This opportunity functions as an Operations Analyst to provide technical support for enterprise deployments, lifecycle initiatives, operational transitions, vendor coordination, risk mitigation, and multi-site implementations across healthcare environments.


OPPORTUNITY

  • 12-month contract with potential extension
  • Fully Remote with occasional travel including on-call availability (U.S. – All Time Zones)


SALARY

$100,000 – $115,000 W2 contract plus benefits


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports physical security systems across health systems, focused on advanced troubleshooting, ticket resolution, vendor coordination, documentation, and occasional project/go live support.


  • Handles escalated ServiceNow tickets related to physical security systems.


  • Provides advanced troubleshooting for access control, door badging, video surveillance, intrusion systems, weapons detection, visitor management, infant protection, and mass communication systems.


  • Works within server based applications, including logging into servers and restarting services as part of troubleshooting.


  • Escalates unresolved issues to Level 4 or vendors.


  • Participates in documentation updates, standardization efforts, and project activities including go lives and system assessments.


  • Daily engagement and leadership with the product team for the support, iteration, build, deployment, and upgrade of video surveillance platforms.


KEY EXPERIENCE

  • Hands on experience with physical security systems (multiple platforms).


  • ServiceNow experience is required.


  • Advanced technical support and troubleshooting experience, including server based applications.


  • Deep understanding of the integration of the product portfolio and its use case within the healthcare setting, including surveillance technology and integrations with other applications.


  • Strong understanding of network administration, security, and surveillance technologies, including IP cameras, wireless networks, encryption, firewalls, VPNs, video analytics, and cloud computing


  • Experience with Genetec or Avigilon platforms (certifications are a plus but not required).


  • Experience with non standard systems such as ProWatch, Secure, Frontier, Milestone XProtect, ExactVision, or Omnigo.


  • Proven ability to document processes in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).


INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Quick turnaround: preliminary interview followed by team interview on phone and Google Meets.


  • Typically, one round with the hiring manager, joined by the team (virtual interview), possibly two rounds if necessary.
