Location: SF Bay Area

Workplace: On-site

Employment Type: Full-time

Visa Sponsorship: This role offers visa sponsorship.

This role is posted on behalf of the following client: A fast-growing AI infrastructure company building software for data center networking at GPU-cluster scale. The company is developing mission-critical observability, control, and operator tooling for the next generation of large-scale AI compute environments, with backing from top-tier technology investors.

Role Overview

The Senior Frontend Engineer will own the full frontend experience for GPU-cluster networking infrastructure, including real-time network observability dashboards, operator workflows, and agentic AI interfaces. This role also includes defining and building the APIs and frontend infrastructure that serve client applications across CLI, web, agents, and more. The position leans full stack with an emphasis on frontend and is ideal for a product builder who is exceptional at frontend architecture, real-time data experiences, and streaming patterns for high-throughput telemetry systems.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain the full set of client surfaces operators use, including web, CLI, agents, and more.
  • Own the frontend API layer and infrastructure that powers all client surfaces.
  • Own the end-to-end frontend stack, including component library, state management, data fetching, and rendering performance.
  • Design and implement UI-layer streaming data pipelines that handle high-frequency metric updates performantly.
  • Architect and implement real-time network observability dashboards surfacing telemetry, performance metrics, and cluster health at 100,000+ GPU scale.
  • Lead initiatives and partner with backend teams to deliver on product requirements.
  • Co-design and consume REST and streaming APIs supporting real-time infrastructure monitoring and dashboards.
  • Establish and enforce frontend engineering standards, including TypeScript conventions, automated testing practices, and rendering performance benchmarks.
  • Provision and manage resources in platforms such as Cloudflare, Vercel, and AWS.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of production frontend engineering experience is required.
  • Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React, including large-scale application architecture, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience building data-dense dashboards for network, infrastructure, or observability products is required.
  • Proven command of async data patterns, WebSocket or SSE handling, and real-time state management at production scale is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a product surface end-to-end, from architecture through production deployment, is required.
  • Track record of collaborating with backend engineering teams to define and consume APIs is required.
  • Experience integrating LLM or agent APIs into production user interfaces is preferred.
  • Prior work on control plane interfaces or operator dashboards for distributed systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with network telemetry concepts, including SNMP, OpenTelemetry, or streaming metrics pipelines, is preferred.

Compensation

  • Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 per year
