Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake Cortex / Palantir) Contract Opportunity
Work:
We’re supporting a digital enterprise client looking for a Senior Data Engineer contractor to help build and optimize next-generation cloud data platforms supporting analytics, operational intelligence, and AI-driven workflows.
The environment is heavily focused on Snowflake, Databricks, Snowflake Cortex, and Palantir, with a strong emphasis on scalable architecture, modern ELT pipelines, and production-grade data engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines across Snowflake and Databricks environments
- Develop and maintain dbt models and transformation frameworks for analytics and downstream applications
- Work with structured and semi-structured datasets at enterprise scale within AWS environments
- Leverage Snowflake Cortex capabilities to support AI-powered analytics and LLM-enabled workflows
- Support integrations and data engineering initiatives connected to Palantir platforms and operational systems
- Optimize performance, observability, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency across the data platform
- Partner closely with analytics, platform engineering, and data science teams to productionize scalable solutions
- Support data governance, orchestration, and modern data architecture best practices

Requirements:
- Strong SQL and Python engineering skills
- Experience building production-grade pipelines using Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow, Spark, or similar modern data tooling
- Exposure to Snowflake Cortex, AI-enabled analytics, or LLM-integrated workflows preferred
- Experience working with or integrating Palantir platforms strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of cloud-native data architecture within AWS
- Experience supporting large-scale analytics or operational data environments
- Comfortable working within fast-paced contract engagements and cross-functional engineering teams
