- Compensation Plan: Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer up to a base salary of $140,000 plus yearly bonus.

The Process Engineer improves the safety, efficiency, and reliability of production processes and equipment through the application of engineering principles. Facilitates trials, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations with careful planning, documentation, and communication. Supports production and maintenance through root cause analysis.

- Work with manufacturing departments to improve current production processes. Improvements would include, but not be limited to productivity improvements, set up time reductions, overall efficiencies improvements, and/or scrap reduction initiatives.
- Assist in providing technical support as it applies to changes to the production process.
- Work with subsidiary manufacturing departments as liaison to assist in the implementation of suggested improvement to the process and production procedures.
- Assist with the launches of new and/or different production projects.
- Specify new equipment and upgrade requirements alongside the maintenance team and third-party vendors.
- Assess the processability of new products through production scale trials.
- Commission new lines and equipment.
- Work with related departments to implement work instructions and routines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve safety, reliability, and efficiency challenges facing production and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related field.
- 0+ years of experience – If 0 years of experience, an internship or co-op is preferred. 1+ years of experience is a plus.
- Experience as a Process Engineer or in a related position is a plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with plastics is a plus – experience with technology of plastics compounding and extruding is a plus.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.
- CAD experience is a plus.
- Experience with Safety and Environmental Laws is a plus.
- Experience with Statistical Data Analysis is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and support multiple departments including R&D, sales, production, production personnel, etc.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to keep information readily available for review.
- Capable of performing under pressure and keeping track of multiple issues simultaneously.
- Ability to work different hours to accommodate plant requirements.
