This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AI Strategy & Enablement Lead in South Africa.

This role sits at the core of enterprise-wide AI transformation, shaping how artificial intelligence is embedded into day-to-day operations, decision-making, and productivity across teams. You will act as a strategic connector between leadership and execution, identifying high-impact opportunities where AI can meaningfully improve workflows and business outcomes. Working closely with functional leaders, you will define priorities, drive adoption, and ensure accountability for measurable results. The environment is fast-moving, highly cross-functional, and deeply focused on practical AI application rather than experimentation for its own sake. You will also build internal capability by enabling teams to design and scale their own AI workflows. This is a high-impact role where strategic thinking, execution rigor, and change leadership converge.

Accountabilities

  • Lead AI enablement initiatives across the organization by identifying and scaling high-value use cases across functions
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to define AI priorities, align on strategy, and drive adoption of AI-powered ways of working
  • Act as the key connector between leadership and execution, translating business needs into actionable AI initiatives
  • Build scalable AI literacy programs, including training, onboarding materials, prompt libraries, and reusable workflows
  • Drive adoption and optimization of existing AI tools, ensuring maximum value from current technology investments
  • Own enterprise AI knowledge-sharing systems and champion best practices across teams
  • Track AI industry developments and recommend what to adopt, pilot, or deprioritize based on business relevance
  • Measure and report on AI impact through key metrics such as productivity gains, time savings, and business ROI
  • Ensure responsible AI usage in collaboration with security, compliance, and leadership stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional execution of AI initiatives and ensure sustained adoption through structured change management

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in AI enablement, transformation, strategy, operations, or high-growth tech environments
  • Strong practical fluency with AI tools, with the ability to apply and scale them across business functions
  • Proven experience leading change initiatives and driving organizational adoption of new tools or ways of working
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • Strong coaching mindset with experience building capability and enabling teams to work independently
  • Highly structured and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear plans and outcomes
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to align stakeholders and drive shared understanding
  • Bias for action, experimentation, and continuous improvement in fast-changing environments
  • Nice to have: experience with prompt engineering, BI tools (e.g., Looker or similar), or AI-assisted analytics workflows
  • Nice to have: exposure to fintech, SaaS, or payments environments, and program management experience
